Do I need medicine?Not all patients require medications, therapy may be all that is needed.

What type of therapy do I need?Depending on the disorder, it could be individual therapy, Group therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Are psychotropic medications dangerous?Like all medications, they have potential side-effects too and should be discussed with your doctor

What is the difference between a Psychiatrist and therapist?Psychiatrists are physicians that specialize in Psychiatry and mostly do medication therapy. A therapist could be a Psychologist (Ph.D.), Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

How soon can I get an appointment?Most patients are seen with 1 -2 weeks of calling for an appointment, depending on insurance authorization if applicable.
