  • Do I need medicine?
    Not all patients require medications, therapy may be all that is needed.
  • What type of therapy do I need?
    Depending on the disorder, it could be individual therapy, Group therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
  • Are psychotropic medications dangerous?
    Like all medications, they have potential side-effects too and should be discussed with your doctor
  • What is the difference between a Psychiatrist and therapist?
    Psychiatrists are physicians that specialize in Psychiatry and mostly do medication therapy. A therapist could be a Psychologist (Ph.D.), Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
  • How soon can I get an appointment?
    Most patients are seen with 1 -2 weeks of calling for an appointment, depending on insurance authorization if applicable.
  • What insurances are accepted?
    All major insurances are accepted, including Medicare and Tricare.
